For reasons unknown, this is my favorite Golf bodystyle. While I think I would prefer to own a VR6, I love the way the R32 looks and drives. Could be sprung a little stiffer, easy enough to take care of.

Probably my favorite non-Ferrari supercar. This car looks amazing – and is almost certainly the greatest Ford ever built.

Enzo Ferrari’s greatest road-going accomplishment? A twin-turbo fire breather, that you should NEVER let your friends drive. Everything that was right about the 80s is right here in front of you. This is almost certainly the most raw Ferrari ever to see the streets.

If you’re going to get a 911, it should definitely be air-cooled. And you can’t go wrong with an SC in good condition. This is the sort of car that teaches you that 500 horsepower isn’t as much fun as horrific oversteer.

The first GMC to make the list, and probably the greatest GMC ever made. They might as well have strapped a JATO rocket to a pickup, and it worked. If you want a fast truck, and you have lots of spare rear tires – this is the truck for you.

In my mind, the 1993 Miata Miata LE is one of the two most collectible Miatas made to date – the other being the 1991 Mazda Miata SE in British Racing Green. The black on red is a classic combination, and $4,400 is an amazing price for this car. All that’s missing is the mileage…

This car has been for sale for a while – and while it isn’t the cleanest looking car I’ve ever seen, the body and interior look pretty good. Are there any other mass production supercharged mid-engine cars?

I realize that this is not exactly a practical used car, but it’s coolness pretty much eclipses all other considerations. This would make a perfect second car for ANYONE. Consider this a post for the posterity for the Renault Turbo.

An Acura NSX, or…a new Civic? $20,000 goes a lot farther than it used to. Yes, it’s a salvage, which I don’t love, but hey – this is a lot of car for the money. Basically, the salvage title gives you the right to turn this into a purpose built race car, or even…a trailer queen.
