My first car, and the greatest Accord ever built. The fourth generation CB7 Honda Accord was the peak of Honda Accord development. These cars were very fun to drive, and this was the last one that hadn’t become bloated in both size and weight. Steering was excellent, a very responsive engine, and a nicely balanced suspension.

2002 Honda Civic Si ($7,995)

I admit it, I used to own this car, and I’m a sucker for it. I would knock out the tow hook and the stickers. But the rest of this car is pretty much perfect. Plus, when this engine goes (in about 200,000 more miles) you can swap in a K20a2, which is what you wanted in the first place.

The 92-95 Civic Hatch is probably the all-around greatest hatchback of the 90s. It can take pretty much any honda engine ever built and has wishbone suspension at all 4-corners. It will run forever, and if you ever get bored – engine swap, turbo, rinse and repeat.

I don’t even know how it’s possible that a Prelude that looks and runs as nice as this supposedly does can only cost $1200. The fact that it’s an Si with Honda’s highly desirable mechanical all-wheel steering takes it to a completely different level.
